Boscombe Lifeguards - The Return Home
We have received a letter from the
Council to say that the keys for the new unit can be
collected.
We are collecting the keys today and it would be a good
idea to see on Sunday & Monday if we could start to return some kit back to Boscombe.
At last, after a very long delay there is some movement in our situation.. Being located beneath Bournemouth Pier has been disheartening and has not encouraged members to turn out for
either patrol duties or training. As many members need to get into the
sea for their Assistant Beach or their Beach Lifeguard qualification, this latest news is very encouraging.

Twilight - Durley Chine
The first Twilight of the Season will be held this Wednesday 20th May at Durley Chine (Bournemouth Lifeguards). Hopefully you will be able to get down to Durley either as a competitor or if you could help with (say) starting the various events. As it is a Twilight evening there will be no training at Boscombe's unit beneath the pier that night. This year competitors will need a neoprene cap and on top of this a Club quarter coloured cap (the latter will be handed out on the night).

Sponsored Bike Ride - Sunday 6th April
For Fund raising, it's been mentioned that another bike ride would be fun. This will be 2 years(!) since the last one. Again the route would be Boscombe to Swanage and back to Boscome again.
Hopefully as many as possible will participate, if not then sponsorship collection would be great. More news to follow...
