MEMBERSHIP

Boscombe Lifeguards is a voluntary lifeguard club that is affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) UK.

Our primary role is to patrol the beaches of Boscombe every weekend and bank holiday from 1 May to 31 September.

In addition to our regular patrolling activities, we also provide lifeguard and first aid cover at special events such as the Friday night Bournemouth Fireworks, Pier to Pier Swims and Zap Cat Races, to name but a few.

As well as an active operations calendar the club has a very active social calender; with regular DVD nights, seasonal parties, BBQs and pub/club nights out for the older members.

Boscombe Lifeguards is keen to promote Water Safety wherever possible by providing professional lifeguard supervision, public education and public involvement. The club also endeavours to help keep children off the streets by giving them a worthwhile hobby that will not only promote fitness but also their sense of social responsibility.

New members are always welcome.

Payment should be brought by cash or cheque to a training session. This will entitle them to a 12 month membership, running from Jan to Jan each year.

Important: All members of Boscombe Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring that they are also a RLSS member. (See form below)
